Parenting after loss of spouse

An intense conversation on what it means too be a parent, having lost your partner.
There are definitely some valuable life lessons to be learnt from someone who experienced it the hard way.

Today we are in conversation with Mrinal Athavale Patwardhan who lost her husband, and her 2 daughters who lost their father unexpectedly due to a rare disease. In a span of 6 months, their life turned upside down.

This conversation got us contemplating on the aspects that we often take for granted like valuing relationships, celebrating small wins, downplaying trivial issues and many more.

We discussed:
• Breaking the news to children
• Being Mother and Father
• Calling the shots for family
• Understanding the kids better
• Escaping self victimisation
• Dealing with grief
• Asking for ‘HELP’ without hesitation
• Life lessons & wisdom

Let us know your thoughts when you have a listen and please share it with your friends and family or someone who needs it 💜
